The micromount demonstration table
The outdoor dealers area
This show is held in and out of the Elk’s Lodge in Ishpeming. It is very well attended, partly because it is held on the weekend before the Copper Country Mineral Retreat, and partly because another organization holds a Renaissance Fair across the street on the same day. They also feature a very active silent auction, a children’s area, and door prizes. In the evening after the show they hold a “cracker barrel’, which is an open meeting with a speaker, a live auction and raffle drawing.
The day after the show, the club runs a field trip to the Lindberg Quarry for Kona Dolomite. I didn’t go on that trip, since I had been there in the past.
